Nick Smith - as most of you are aware, Nick has been rather unwell recently, the good news is that he will be released from hospital tomorrow, and I'm sure you join with us in wishing him a speedy recovery and look forward to having back behind his computer doing his usual sterling job in the running of this blog, Get well soon mate.

White-rumped Sandpiper still on North pit to 15:15 at least, view only from path west of the pits by the canal, do not cross any ditches or barriers. Wellingtons recommended, also probable Water Pipit flew over North Pit........PH, NB.

Hawfinch one still on Tackeroo car park just 100yards towards Rugely also 4x Waxwing close by, approach from Rugeley and take track on right just before the car park.......
also the Great Grey Shrike was showing well at 2.30pm on the clear fell off Startley Lane, Upper Longdon, on the chase..............RS
